Welcome to Unexpected MOMents. A blog for parents, by a parent. My name is Victoria, it’s lovely to meet you all.
I am a Mother
I am a mom to a wonderful one-year-old little girl. My husband and I also have custody of my sister.
I have 3 dogs
We have 2 Yorkies and our first-ever baby after my husband and I got married is a purebred mutt.
I love to cook
From purely southern food to exotic dishes, even baking. It is not only a passion but self-care for me.
My Vision is to
Create a nurturing community where first-time moms can find valuable resources, heartfelt stories, practical tips, and expert advice on pregnancy, breastfeeding, recipes, childcare, potty training, and everything in between…
My Husband and I
Married since 2019
My mission is to empower first-time moms with knowledge, support, and inspiration as they embark on the beautiful and transformative journey of motherhood.
How We Make Money
My articles and posts are free. I did this to ensure that all parents are able to have every bit of information they can get.
In order to cover the costs of the site and research, we used advertisements, affiliate marketing, and sponsored content.
No Costs to my readers.
My Other Projects
I co-own and operate an Etsy shop alongside my husband.
Our shop has things like fertility candles or statues, and pregnancy candles to soothe tired mothers-to-be.
As well as even Toyota parts.
100% of the profit of all pregnancy and fertility-related sales go towards intended parents struggling with infertility.
What Got Me Started Blogging
I have essentially been a mother my entire life. I got custody of my younger sister only a few months after being married. Then, while pregnant, I got custody of my other young sister.
While pregnant, I had a very rough time in the beginning. Hearing from doctors and nurses and I felt like no one was ever really hearing me. Closer to the second half of my pregnancy, I discovered a mom blog.
Then I found another and another and another. It was the first time in my entire pregnancy I felt like someone else was feeling the way I felt. I wanted to take that and give it to someone else.
